Portals refers to an imaginary passageway where ancient man studied and mapped the stars from 5.000 tp 2,500 BC. Neolithic rock carvings from that period inspired a contemporary artistic response where art, archaeology and astronomy intersect on the gallery walls. The purpose and meaning of the carvings remain unknown, but much speculation exists. My free verse ponders the mysteries and strives to put my artworks into a historical context for viewers reading and reflection.
